We use power or electricity for almost everything in our lives. And take most of it for granted. When is the last time you thought about the power the light bulb consumes? Or the laptop, tablet or phone you are looking at? Yet, we need to save as much power as we can.

Going Green 101 Recycling

The easiest and probably the most effective way that you can help the environment is through recycling. There are plenty of item that you can separate from your trash for recycling. By buying plastic bins it is convenient to separate the recyclable from the trash.

The most popular item to recycle is the aluminum cans, from soda and beer. That is not the only cans that are aluminum, just check your can goods. They might not be aluminum but, most can still be recycled. I bought a can crusher at Harbor Freight about 5 or 6 years ago. I can get a lot of aluminum cans in a bin.

Going Green 101 Introduction

Going Green?? With all the information in the news, and on the internet, everyone has to be aware that we have a pollution problem. Yea, some places have a worst pollution problem than others. But, the fact still remains that we all contribute to our pollution problem. With more people, companies, and livestock all emitting green house gases and other pollutants, we are harming our environment.

We all drink the water and breathe the air, it seems that it should be a major concern. But, at least in my part of the world, southern Alabama, most people don't seem to care. Looking at the trash along side of the highways and byways, leads me to think that. I've heard "I'm not going to be around anyway" too many times.
