We use power or electricity for almost everything in our lives. And take most of it for granted. When is the last time you thought about the power the light bulb consumes? Or the laptop, tablet or phone you are looking at? Yet, we need to save as much power as we can.

Harvesting A Natural Resource: Wind Power

shows how the natural resource wind is used

In today's economy, with America's increasing consumption of electricity and natural resources, the possibility of an inexpensive, renewable and reliable energy source is seen by consumers as a breath of fresh air. That's where wind energy comes in.

Fuel costs and global warming are becoming a bigger concern for people in their daily lives. If you are considering going green, wind is an energy platform with a lot of positives.

Using the wind to harness energy from our environment is hardly a new concept. Ancient Persians are believed to have been the first group to use windmills to turn grain grinding machines.

The Dutch, of course, are also famous for their windmills and so on. In modern days, however, wind energy platforms are much more refined and used primarily for energy production.

The Benefits Of Wind Power

We live in an energy conscious world today and more and more people are seeking ways to reduce carbon emissions and help protect the environment. Cutting down on fossil fuels and the use of renewable energy is a key part of protecting our planet.

Wind power has emerged as one of the most effective ways of harnessing the Earth's natural resources to produce a clean form of energy that doesn't damage our environment.

As oil prices continue to rise and pressure mounts to cut down on carbon emissions, the benefits of wind power and other alternative energy sources are becoming more and more apparent.

Things to do Before You Buy Solar Panels

a yellow to do list with a yellow pencil

Here are some things to do before you buy solar panels. And a video and PDFs you might need to read and watch. To give you more bang for your buck. And some useful links.

Before you go out and spend the money for the solar panels,
pure sine wave inverter, (you have to have pure sine wave for your electronic toys) charge controller, deep cycle batteries, (without a battery back-up system, when the power goes out you will not have electricity) and all the hardware, there are some things that you should do first.

Doing these small and simple changes, will make the money you spend for your system, more cost effective. And can make a huge impact on your electric bill.
