In today's economy, with America's increasing consumption of electricity and natural resources, the possibility of an inexpensive, renewable
and reliable energy source is seen by consumers as a breath of fresh air. That's where wind energy
comes in.

Reasons Wind Power Is a Viable Energy Solution
Fuel costs and global warming are becoming a bigger concern for people in their daily lives. If you are considering going green, wind is an energy platform with a lot of positives.
Using the wind to harness energy from our environment is hardly a new concept. Ancient Persians are believed to have been the first group to use windmills to turn grain grinding machines.
The Dutch, of course, are also famous for their windmills and so on. In modern days, however, wind energy platforms are much more refined and used primarily for energy production.

The Benefits Of Wind Power
We live in an energy conscious world today and more and more people are seeking ways to reduce carbon emissions and help protect the environment. Cutting down on fossil fuels and the use of renewable energy is a key part of protecting our planet.
Wind power has emerged as one of the most effective ways of harnessing the Earth's natural resources to produce a clean form of energy that doesn't damage our environment.
As oil prices continue to rise and pressure mounts to cut down on carbon emissions, the benefits of wind power and other alternative energy sources are becoming more and more apparent.

Wind and Solar Power
Going back to the basics is the trend these days. Many people are now aware of the many problems faced by the world which includes pollution, depletion of natural resources, increasing population, and many others.
With so many problems to deal with, people don’t know where to start. You don't have to be a hero to help save the world and address its many problems. Why not contribute in your own little way by using solar power and wind power?

About Wind Turbines
A wind turbine
is a rotating machine that seeks to convert the kinetic energy present in the wind into mechanical energy. If particular machinery like a pump or grinding stone
uses the mechanical energy in a direct manner then it is called a windmill
, however, if this mechanical energy is first converted into electricity and then used, then the machine is commonly called a wind turbine
or a wind energy converter amongst other things.
The first wind machines
were used in Persia, as far back as 200 B.C for the purposes of grinding grain
. By 250 A.D the Romans began to use the same process for the same purpose. The Dutch started using windmills
to drain water from the areas lying in the Rhine River delta.
