The Portable Solar Generator Plug N Play Kit 30 Watt by offgridsolargenerators, is a plug and play solar generator kit. Simply put, you plug the 30 watt solar panel into the power pack and put the solar panel in the sun.

The solar panel has 9 feet of cord, an ac adapter that plugs into the Duracell Powerpack 600. With 9 feet of cord it makes it easier to put the solar panel in the sun and the powerpack where you need it.

This solar generator works great for emergencies, camping or any remote area with out power. The battery pack automatically switches to a trickle charge, when the batteries charged, alimenting the need for a charge controller. The battery is shipped separately from the solar panel. No orders to Alaska or Hawaii.

Duracell Powerpack 600

The Duracell Powerpack 600 features an internal sealed, non spill able 28 amp-hour AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat) battery for reliable power delivery and recharging capability. This heavy-duty power source operates multiple 120-volt AC household power applications and 12-volt DC applications (charging portable electronics devices) simultaneously with ease.

Offering 280 CCA (cold cranking Amps) of starting power, the Duracell Powerpack 600 can jump-start most 8-cylinder vehicles without connecting to another vehicle or external power source. A built-in LED light also provides bright illumination, while an integrated AM/FM clock radio provides access to news and other important information. The Duracell Powerpack 600 can be safely and conveniently recharged from any household AC outlet, DC cigarette lighter outlet or even from a solar panel, so that it's ready to go when you need it.

The Duracell Powerpack 600 is an ideal companion for job sites, camp sites, or as a quiet, cost-effective emergency backup power source. Please note, the internal battery does not arrive charged. Refer to the Powepack users manual for charging instructions. Charge the battery fully before using the Powerpack for the first time.

Charges super fast whether plugged into wall OR the solar panel. Runs most plug in devices in my house and comes with cables to restart a dead car battery if needed. Power lasts a great amount of time.

Hi Jennifer, the panel that came with the kit is a UL SOLAR panel...it is 30 watts 12 volt polycrystalline with the ac plug wire already attched. I tested the unit. Ran down to 20% and attached panel. Recharged in 7 hours.

Computer power needs vary but I would say not very long. It would work better to charge a laptop with. A limitation of this system is that you csn not charge it while using it at the same time.

how many times can this thing be used. does it automatically shut it off when battery levels get too low? how long can it sit around after being use

It will no longer provide power when it gets too low, it takes forever to charge with the solar so I just plugged it in to fully charge it and keep it for emergencies. It would be good to charge a couple of cell phones and maybe a laptop but you're not going to run your house on it! It is supposed to be fully charged every 3 months or it loses the charge. I think of it as a good thing to have for a weather event if the power were off for a few days it would be helpful to have around.
