Solar-Powered Savior Solar Pool Pump and Filter System
Description:

Awarded 2012 Best Product and Best Green Product in the Pool Industry. The Savior Solar Pool Pump and Filter System was invented and manufactured by Michael Evingham (HMDG) from Natural Current LLC in Dana Point, CA USA - Patent Pending. Backed by 1-year limited warranty.

Save money and energy with the floating, solar-powered Savior solar pool pump and filter system from Natural Current, which runs silently from just the power of the sun. You'll be able to turn off your inefficient, noisy, and expensive-to-operate pool equipment and both reduce pollution and save money. The Savior eliminates over 17,000 pounds of pollution per year and it can pay for itself in as few as 7 months.

Installation is as easy as taking the solar-powered pump out of the delivery box, and placing it on the surface of your in-ground or above ground swimming pool, Jacuzzi, hot tub, or pond. You won't need to worry about buying and installing batteries or connecting it to your existing water pump equipment.

The Savior pumps up to 11,000 gallons a day through three reusable 20-micron filter cartridges. You will only need to occasionally clean out the filters, and then place the solar pump and filter back in the water. As opposed to common sand pool filters, with the Savior's cartridge filter you never have to worry about getting sand in your pool.

Its whisper technology makes it dramatically quieter than your current noisy pool pump equipment, and it requires less maintenance than your existing pool filter. Easily portable, the pump works in both sunny and cloudy weather--you don't need to live in an all-sun-all-the-time climate to reap the benefits of this solar-powered tool. (During periods of inclement weather, or for larger pools, your existing pool pump can always be ran for a few hours a day as a supplement to maintain filtered water.)

The Savior is powered by a 55-watt, 12-volt polycrystalline silicon solar panel made of tempered glass and measuring 25.7 x 25.2 x 1.38 inches (WxLxH). The unit measures 35 x 35.5 x 12
inches (WxLxH) and weighs 38 pounds. The pool pump's solar panel has a life expectancy of 10 to 30 years, and you can expect to spend approximately $100 every 2 to 3 years on normal unit maintenance (including replacing the pump/motor and filter). It's backed by a 1-year limited warranty. Made in the USA.

About Natural Current

Natural Current offers Alternative Energy Solutions… for home and abroad. The Company Natural Current was organized by Michael Evingham to give people solutions and new resources for energy freedom in our everyday lives. Mr. Evingham has spent years focused on real solutions for domestic energy freedom from the natural resources our world provides, from natural gas, to the sun, earth, water, and wind.

Natural Current invents, engineers and manufactures US made off-grid home and garden appliances. Their flagship product line is called Savior which is a line of solar pump and filter system for the estimated 15 million residential swimming pool market and also for
spas, ponds, open bodies of water around the world.

To understand some of the why for the Savior solar pump and filter system, a residential consumer with a conventional pool pump and filter system is spending about $1.00 to $5.00 every single day or $30 to $150 every single month. This translates into a large sum of money on an annual basis, let alone the estimated 15 thousand pounds of pollution thrown in the air by each pool owner. The Natural Current Savior Solar Pool Filter eliminates that cost and pollution.

Natural Current has the will and experience to provide each life energy freedom by taking each electrical component that we use in our lives and running on natural current. From the hair dryer to the washer and dryer down to the home swimming pool, natural current focuses on each device and runs it 100% efficient in our life for life.

4 out of 5 Stars
Not sure if I like it or love it

So far so good. I'm using it in my 5000 gallon pool. I have left a couple messages for the owner and I get a call back within ten minutes. When there is full sun its spins around like crazy! I love that I am saving a lot of money on electricity, but I am only rating it four stars because I've only had it a couple months and I want to see how it does a while longer and I think the price is high. I will change my review at the end of the summer depending on how it's doing. It was also sent in a box with zero packing material (protection) and a Xeroxed piece of paper with directions. For $400 I was honestly expecting a little more.

Question
How do I completely drain all the water out of the unit for winter storage? Thanks. Ron
Answer
Take it out of the water, let it set for a few minutes and you should be fine. Or you can unscrew the three filters. It doesn't really hold water.

Question
I live in arizona...is it possible to get too much sun/overheat?
Answer
I live in Arizona also, and have had no issues w/ overheating or too much sun. Just understand that this is very large and takes up a great deal of swimming space in your pool. Does a decent job however but it is not a replacement for a whole pool filter.
By Ian Epstein on August 14, 2015

Question
I live in Florida and my pool is screened in . Will this still work ?
Answer
No it will not work. It needs strong direct sunlight to work otherwise it is useless
